River Villages, Inc.River Villages, Inc. (RVI) was incorporated in 1979 by several Interior Alaskan village corporations, which included Dinyee Corporation. In the early years, the main activity was in construction under Interior General Contractors (IGC). While in operation, IGC took part in construction projects in Fairbanks and in various Interior villages. RVI was also involved in a culinary and housekeeping joint venture that serviced several pipeline camps. In 1981 Dinyee Corporation acquired the balance of outstanding River Villages stock and RVI became entirely Dinyee owned. In 1995 RVI developed a continuing relationship with Alyeska Pipeline Service Company. Alyeska was seeking to enhance its Oil Spill Response force which fit in with Stevens Village and its people since it is located close to the Trans Alaska Pipeline and Pump Station 6 near the Yukon River Bridge. We maintain a continuous contract with Alyeska to provide emergency oil spill response teams, associated services and above ground maintenance. Our primary area of responsibility is a 200 mile portion through the Interior of Alaska, however we have been called upon to participate up and down the pipeline. Our team consistently receives the highest marks not only from Alyeska but from State and Federal Regulators.
